Cebu City to use Sinovac vax on upland residents – Rama
The city government of Cebu aims to vaccinate the majority of residents in mountain barangays against Covid-19 by September.
Some of them already received their shots at the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) in Barangay Punta Princesa on June 18 and at the Barangay Bonbon gym last Saturday.
The DBTC will cater to residents from Barangays Buhisan, Toong, Pamutan and Sapangdaku, while the other vaccine site will cater to residents from Bonbon, Babag, Pung-ol Sibugay, Sudlon 1, Sudlon 2, Buot Taup and Malubog. (https://bit.ly/3qbws4l)
Acting Mayor Michael Rama said they will use the Sinovac vaccine as the Chinese brand is easier to transport.
The two vaccination sites will only be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Cebu City has 22 mountain barangays.
