Cebu City to ease travel rules for fully vaccinated individuals soon: Rama
Starting this November, the entry of fully vaccinated individuals in various Cebu City ports may already be made easier.
Acting Mayor Michael Rama said the city’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is looking at improving access to the city with fewer requirements.
The city is currently under a more relaxed Alert Status Level 2. (https://bit.ly/3B90VDK)
Rama, however, said the city government will continue to require travelers to present a negative RT-PCR, antigen, or saliva test result prior to arrival.
Travelers must present a negative RT-PCR test result within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time or antigen or saliva tests taken at least 48 hours before departure to enter Cebu City.
“As of this moment we are still implementing the same thing. That has already been said that the situation here in Cebu City is different because we cater to the majority of the travelers here,” said Rama.
Travelers entering Cebu province are no longer required to present a negative swab or negative antigen test result.
Rama said they will continue to require negative test results until the EOC has come up with the “best policy” that will especially be imposed on domestic travelers.
