Acting Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama announced that the city will open more vaccination sites to accommodate more residents.

On top of the existing vaccination sites at malls, Rama said the Covid-19 vaccines will also be available in barangays, churches, and even other open spaces.

“We now have enough vaccines in stock. Thus, to all remaining adults who have not yet registered, do now through,” he also said. (

The city government has yet to approve the proposal of the Archdiocese of Cebu and representatives of public cemeteries to limit the cemeteries to vaccinated individuals on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Data from the Cebu City Vaccination Board showed that 746,492 residents have registered online. Of which 374,533 have received the first dose and 321,203 are vaccinated fully.
