Cebu City third richest city in the Philippines – COA
The Cebu City has retained its position as one of the richest cities in the Philippines according to the Commission on Audit’s Annual Financial Report on local government units for 2016.
Cebu City remained the fourth richest city in the Philippines with total assets of P32.623 billion in 2016. In 2015, the city had a total assets of P32.41 billion.
The Queen City of the South is the lone city from Visayas that made it to the annual COA list, which was topped anew by Quezon City with P59.56 billion.
Makati City was second with P54.85 billion, followed by City of Manila at third with P36.102.
Occupying the fifth spot was Pasig City with P29.90 billion.
Completing the top ten were:
Taguig City at sixth with P16.27 billion total assets;
Pasay City at seventh with P14.95 billion;
Caloocan City at eighth with P14.70 billion;
Davao City at ninth with P9.899 billion; and
Iligan City at tenth with P9.897 billion
