Cebu City scraps 14-day quarantine for COVID-negative travelers

POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.
Inbound travelers with a negative Covid-19 test result need not undergo the 14-day quarantine, Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella confirmed.
Labella, however, said Covid-19 positives are still required to undergo quarantine.
“Those who arrive in Cebu City with a negative RT-PCR result will no longer be quarantined. For those who test positive of coronavirus, of course, [will be quarantined],” he said. (https://bit.ly/3v9ETzh)
According to the mayor, what the city has maintained is the requirement of a negative RT-PCR test for travelers to the city.
Authorized Persons Outside of Residence, on one hand, are exempted from the RT-PCR requirement when entering the city.
Other requirements, such as travel authority and health certificates, will no longer be required pursuant to the latest guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Labella said he may do away with the submission of the RT-PCR test when the city’s Covid-19 cases would decrease and a flattening of the curve would occur.
