Cebu City police chief to form task group to probe killing of former Cebu fiscal
A special investigation task group (SITF) will be formed to look into the killing of former Cebu City Prosecutor Mary Ann Castro.
Castro was shot dead by unidentified gunmen along Escario St. on January 17.
Cebu Daily News reported Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) chief Senior Superintendent Royina Garma said the Abellana Police Station would handle the investigation for the first 48 hours.
The SITG would over the investigation after that to quickly resolve the case, added Garma.
According to her, they are looking at all possible angles and motives in Castro’s murder.
This, she added, includes a report of an alleged list where the prosecutor’s name was included.
“Whatever the listahan na sinasabi nila, I don’t care basta kami mag imbestiga kami,” Garma said.
