Capiz mayor: I don’t need the help of Guv-elect Contreras
Mambusao Mayor Leodegario Labao of Capiz said he will not recognize Vice Governor Esteban Evan Contreras as the newly elected governor of the province until the end of his term.
His town does not need assistance from the provincial government, said Labao.
“I don’t need the help coming from governor-elect Nonoy Contreras, nor l will come to his office at the provincial capitol,” according to him.
He said he was able to improve their town without the support of the provincial government.
Labao supported outgoing Governor Antonio del Rosario who lost to Contreras by 17,000 votes in the last midterm elections.
