POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.

The province of Capiz now has a foundation in charge of overseeing the Capiztahan Festival and managing all related activities.

Governor Fredenil Castro earlier met with the members of the Maragtas Capiz Foundation with Jose Nery Ong as president, Mark Ortiz as secretary and Danny So Chan as treasurer.

They discussed the Balik Capiz (Come Home/Back to Capiz) program that encourages Capiznons outside the province to return home. (https://bit.ly/3JmzRXS)

The program will begin in May, coinciding with the celebration of National Heritage Month to be hosted by Capiz.

Capiz also aspires to become the Festival Capital of the Philippines, which aims to boost tourism and the economy.

The foundation is scheduled to meet again on March 28 to finalize its objectives and structures, as well as its Securities and Exchange Commission registration.
