Capitol allots P20M for 12 district hospitals
The Iloilo Provincial Government has allotted P20 million to ensure poor patients can access needed healthcare in state-owned hospitals in province.
The amount covers patients whose medical or hospital bills are covered in the case rate payment scheme of PhilHealth.
Provincial Administrator Raul Banias said those seeking financial help no longer need to come to the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office for assistance.
The hospital where they are confined will provide the aid to be taken from the allocation, said Banias.
The funding is on top of the P1-million per district hospital that the provincial government allotted under Supplemental Budget No. 2, which was approved last June 26.
The 12 government-run hospitals in Iloilo province are Aleosan District Hospital in Alimodian; Barotac Viejo District Hospital in Barotac Viejo; Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Memorial District Hospital in Calinog; Don Valerio Palmares Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Passi City; Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial District Hospital in Lambunao; Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital in Dumangas; Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Janiuay; Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan; Jesus M. Colmenares Memorial District Hospital in Balasan; Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan; Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial District Hospital in Guimbal; and Sara District Hospital in Sara.
