Calinog town imposes 7 pm-4 am curfew for minors

Longer curfew hours have been reinstated in Calinog town.
Mayor Francisco Calvo issued Executive Order No. (EO) 2023-17, revising EO 2022-63 and imposing a curfew on minors beginning at 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. effective March 14.
Calvo observed that since the easing of pandemic restrictions, minors have gradually returned to the streets and become involved in illegal or unruly activities.

“The ending of pandemic restrictions caused a drastic increase in crime rate and vehicular accidents involving minors,” the mayor’s order read.
Young people aged 17 and below will be prohibited from leaving their homes after 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. except under the following conditions:
*Emergencies – whenever a minor is in need of medical attention, he/she should be accompanied by an adult
*Travel to and from airports or seaports – minors should present their tickets if they are to travel from home to ports or vice versa during curfew hours, but must be accompanied by an adult; and
*Events open to all by the municipality – minors are allowed to witness events hosted by the municipality provided they are accompanied by adults, but only until 10 p.m.
The curfew will be enforced by the Philippine National Police, the Calinog Task Force, punong barangays and officials, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office
