Biron maintains lead over Defensor in governor’s race
If the 2019 election were today, Iloilo Rep. Ferjenel Biron (4th district) would win the gubernatorial race.
According to the latest Random Access Consultants, Inc. (RACI) poll, Biron received a preferential rating of 51.7 percent, up by 4.5 percent from the December survey.
His rival, Rep. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. (3rd district) got 45.9 percent, a 5.6 percent drop from his score of 51.5 percent in the last survey.
In the vice-gubernatorial race, incumbent Christine “Tingting” Garin remains the top choice with 51.9 percent voter preference while Mayor Niel “Beng” Tupas III scored 45.9 percent.
The survey conducted from March 26 to April 3 has a total of 5,030 respondents.
