Bing Leonardia gets Bacolod on shortlist of most business-friendly cities
There’s still a final leg but this politiko already feels like a winner.
Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia is already celebrating as he found out that Bacolod has been named a finalist for the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Awards of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
PCCI selects the best hub for business by assessing trade, investments, tourism, public-private sector partnerships, development of small-scale businesses, quality management systems, and quality customer service in deciding the winner for this year.
“Being a PCCI finalist is a feat in itself. Regardless of the outcome, we are already a winner. It is inspiring because it comes after a hiatus in the past years. It is also a revalidation after The Manila Times recognized us as the ‘Top Philippine Model City.’ We are back on track and back on top, indeed,” Leonardia said.
Bacolod City last won the award in 2007 under Leonardia’s watch.
Is a deja vu in the works? Abangan!
