Bacolod to shut off cellular signal, enforce gun ban for MassKara
There will be a shutdown for mobile phone signals and suspension of all permits to carry firearms during the highlights of the MassKara Festival next month, said Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
Leonardia said this will ensure safety and security for revelers.
He will request the concerned agencies to enforce these tight security measures during the festivities from October 8 to 27, according to him. (https://www.panaynews.net/city-govt-to-enforce-gun-ban-signal-jamming-for-masskara/)
“Security is the most important aspect in this event. We will request for a gun ban and signal jamming for the sake of security. I think everybody will cooperate,” the politiko said.
Last Sunday, Leonardia led the official launching of the 40th MassKara Festival at the New Government Center lobby. This year’s festival theme is “Bacolod, City of Smiles.”
