The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) has turned over a P5-million augmentation fund to Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia for the construction of a P35-million drug treatment and rehabilitation center in the city.

“This is a big occasion for us that we are able to receive a P5-million check. This is a second installment. We are very thankful,” said Leonardia.

The local chief executive also thanked DDB chairman Catalino Cuy for prioritizing the city. (https://bit.ly/2E73OtK)

“It is an inspiration in the anti-drug campaign that Bacolod is just one of the first, if not the few, which has received this assistance, he added.

Local officials said the facility, which can accommodate around 50 patients, is scheduled to open next year.
