Paging DepEd: Bacolod public high school’s ceiling falls down
Students at a public high school in Bacolod City were displaced after the ceiling of their classroom collapsed earlier this week.
Authorities of Domingo Lacson National High School said the ceiling may have collapsed due to lack of metal hanger support.
High school teacher James Sevillejo said a student who arrived at class early Wednesday discovered the incident.
The classroom is at the third floor of Building C and is being used for English classes of senior high students.
Sevillejo said the incident probably happened Tuesday night, adding no injuries were reported because it was a holiday.
For now, the students in the affected classrooms will have to take their classes in other rooms, while the third floor was vacated while authorities fix the damage.
