Bacolod is Negros’ richest city
In terms of total assets, Bacolod City is the richest city in the Negros Occidental province.
As of June 20, 2018, Bacolod has a total bank deposits of P99.58 million from 626,590 accounts in the 112 bank branches, according to the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp.
It was followed by Kabankalan City with P7.51 million in total deposits from 76,602 accounts in 20 banks, and San Carlos City with P5.87 million bank deposits from 52,764 accounts in 15 banks.
Silay City (P4.35 million) and Cadiz City (P3.89 million) were also among the richest locality in the province.
For the municipalities, Binalbagan topped the list in terms of deposits with P1.48 million from 19,687 accounts. Hinigaran posted a total of P1.22 million in bank deposits from 17,801 accounts.
