Bacolod gov’t to send chicken inasal meals to charities
The Bacolod City government is distributing 1,600 chicken inasal meals to charitable institutions and non-government organizations for the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival from May 26 to 28.
The identified beneficiaries would receive meals subsidized by the city government and prepared by Manokan Country tenants, according to Councilor Celia Flor.
The recipients are the St. Vincent’s Home for the Aged, Bacolod Boys’ Home Foundation, Bacolod Girls’ Home Foundation, Social Development Center, and senior citizens’ associations. (https://tinyurl.com/rf9dt7pa)
“It will be given to them in advance. It will be delivered to them. It will be an economic enterprise for the tenants and for all the concessionaires,” said Flor.
The festival will kick off on May 26 at North Capitol Road with a tasting and pairing event to introduce chicken as “not only a simple dish but a perfect pair for various brews.”
