Bacolod council amends plantilla titles

The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod has passed an ordinance amending certain positions in the plantilla of 2023 personnel on first reading.
On February 28, Mayor Albee Benitez endorsed the request of the Human Resource Management Services to revise certain positions of the plantilla personnel as to position titles/salary grade.
Benitez’s request is for the city council to pass a resolution to correct the same, but the august body deemed it proper to pass an ordinance instead because the said positions were all adopted and passed through such legislative manner. (https://bit.ly/3JdR6uf)
The errors in the position titles and/or salary grades were all typographical errors that were inadvertently indicated during its preparation, according to the ordinance.
The changes to be made in the plantilla of personnel will not result in the abolition, diminution, increase or merging of titles and/or salary grades of any employee, given that some are still classified as new or vacant, it stated.
The amended position tiles and/or salary grade in the plantilla of personnel 2023 of various city departments are as follows:
*project development assistant SG 4 (new) – under the City Mayor’s Office;
*administrative officer 2 SG 11 (new) – under the General Services Office;
*city government assistant department head ll SG 24/1 (vacant) – under Management Information Technology and Computer Services; and
*seven other position under different departments/offices.
