Bacolod City cited for good financial housekeeping
Bacolod City was cited by the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Bureau of Local Government Supervision as one of the 2018 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) passers.
The GFH, formerly known as the Seal of Good Housekeeping, refers to the compliance of the local government units with the accounting and auditing standards, and rules and regulations.
This also includes unqualified or qualified Commission on Audit opinion; compliance with the full disclosure policy of local budget and finances, bids, and public offerings; and bid results on civil works, goods, and services and consulting services.
The GFH is one of the six area assessments of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
Mayor Evelio Leonardia assured that the city financial management is on the right track.
“We also give credit to our men and women in the city government who keep the day-to-day transactions and dealings with our public in order,” said Leonardia.
