Arthur Defensor offers P500K for Erning Bolivar’s arrest
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. has offered a P500,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspected drug lord Ernesto “Erning” Bolivar.
Defensor noted Bolivar, considered the top drug personality in the Western Visayas region, used to operate in Iloilo.
Bolivar, 41, who used to reside at Barangay Guinacas in Pototan, is believed to lead the Prevendido Drug Group, one of the major drug groups operating in the region.
While he surrendered to the Iloilo City police in July 2016, he is believed to have continued with his illegal drug trade operations.
He is also believed to have had dealings with the Odicta Drug Group, whose leader Melvin Odicta Sr. and wife Meriam were killed in August 2016.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 officer-in-charge Alex Tablate said they are working with the Philippine National Police to track down Bolivar.
