Arroyo visits pet projects in Cebu
Former President and House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo recently went on a sentimental journey in Cebu to visit her priority projects in the province, The Freeman reported.
Arroyo was accompanied by First District Rep. Gerald Anthony Gullas and his grandfather Talisay City Mayor Eduardo Gullas during the inspection of the 34-kilometer Cebu South Road (CSR) and the two bridges in Naga City.
The lady politiko said she wanted to check on their status and determine how she can help improve their condition before leaving her post as speaker of the House of Representatives.
The CSR, which spans from Naga City to Santander, is worth P1.4 billion.
This 2004 project was part of Arroyo’s long-term goal of achieving a seamless, efficient and cheaper means of transporting people and goods through the Strong Republic Nautical Highway.
