Apostolic Nuncio Caccia graces blessing of retirement home for priests in Kalibo
Papal Nuncio to the Philippines His Excellency Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia attended on Wednesday the blessing of a retirement home for elderly priests in Kalibo, Aklan.
The construction of the two-storey “Domus Franciscus” building, located in the old Bishop House in Sant John the Baptist Cathedral compound, was funded by U.S.-based Papal Foundation.
Caccia, with Jaro Archbishop Most Rev. Jose Romeo Lazo, Aklan representative Carlito Marquez and Aklan governor Florencio Miraflores, led the ribbon cutting and marker unveiling ceremony.
Today, the 60-year-old Nuncio is expected to hold a dialogue with the Youth at Kalibo Cathedral and visit the Pink Sisters in New Washington town.
He will also visit the Sto. Nino Seminary in Numancia, Aklan and the Ati Community Village in Boracay Island.
