Antique mayor to require drug drug test for businesses with 10 or more workers
San Jose Mayor Elmer Untaran of Antique wants mandatory drug testing among employees in business establishments with at lest 10 workers.
The Sangguniang Bayan considered crafting an ordinance highlighting drug test as one of the requirements in the renewal and application of a Mayor’s permit among commercial institutions, said Untaran.
“No drug testing, no issuance of Mayor’s permit,” he added.
This, according to him, forms part of declaring an establishment as a drug-free workplace as well as protects business owners, too. (https://bit.ly/2GTA4BT)
Untaran said there were no drug apprehensions and buy-bust operations in the province’s capital town from December 2019 to January this year.
“If you have observed, the town of San Jose is peaceful especially during night time.”
