Antique gov’t to run on reenacted budget
The provincial government of Antique will operate under a reenacted budget due to the failure of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) to pass the 2019 budget during its regular session on January 17.
The 2018 reenacted annual budget is P1.31 billion.
The province will run on a reenacted budget until proposed P1.241 billion budget for 2019 is approved, according to acting provincial information officer Galileo Magbanua.
“The reenacted budget would be from January 1 and until such time that the provincial board could approve the budget for the year,” Magbanua said.
The official said an executive session will be held today, Monday for the Committees on Appropriation and Local Finance to discuss this year’s budget.
