Angkas helped ease Cebu traffic, Tommy Osmeña says

There are more gains than losses in allowing these motorbikes to serve commuters.

Mayor Tomas “Tommy” Osmeña came to defend the plight of motorcycle ride-hailing service Angkas before the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) during their public consultation on the issue.

The politiko stepped up to represent commuters who lost a travel alternative after the LTFRB stopped Angkas from offering their service for being an unregistered transport provider.

“I can say that Angkas is contributing to the improvement of traffic in Cebu,” Osmeña said.

“I believe the law should serve the people. What you are saying is the people should serve the law. Mali.”

Will the regulator listen to the man from Cebu City?
