Amid concern over Omicron, Iloilo City residents urged to stay at home
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas appealed to his constituents to stay home to mitigate the threat of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
Iloilo City is currently under Alert Level 3 until January 15 due to rising Covid-19 cases.
“We will make use of this time to stay home as much as possible, maintain strictly the minimum health protocols, no mass gatherings, and reduce capacities in our workplaces and businesses,” according to Treñas. (https://bit.ly/3F3049T)
The mayor asked those feeling unwell to stay home, isolate, and be tested.
He likewise urged the general public to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and/or get booster shots.
In Iloilo City, vaccination and booster cards are required when entering government offices, malls and other places.
