Albee Benitez lauds NHA for embracing ‘People’s Plan’ in housing programs
Negros Occidental 3rd District Representative Albee Benitez, in his Abante column, highlighted how the “People’s Plan” has allowed better housing facilities and relocation sites for beneficiaries.
The Negros Occidental politiko said it’s a common story how housing beneficiaries suffer from poor housing programs and far-off relocation sites.
Benitez said this problem is rooted in the non-consultation among beneficiaries.
But he said the National Housing Authority (NHA) has now embraced the People’s Plan.
He also cited how the Pasig city government relocated informal settlers along the Manggahan Floodway to the NHA’s Manggahan Residences via People’s Plan.
