Albee Benitez is now Capitol economic adviser

Former Negros Occidental Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez (3rd district) has accepted the consultancy post offered to him by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.

Benitez made the announcement during his State of the District Address (SODA) last week.

He said he will serve as the economic and investments czar of the province on a pro-bono basis.

In his SODA, Benitez expressed his satisfaction at his performance as congressman for nine years, particularly with the implementation of the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Care Program (NOCHP) as his flagship program.

Around 300,000 families have been enrolled in NOCHP, he said.
