Airlines to Boracay visitors: Pre-book your hotel

Planning to visit Boracay island? Make a hotel reservation first.

Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific reminded its Caticlan- and Kalibo-bound passengers to show proof of a hotel reservation.

Tourists are required to have a booking confirmation from a compliant hotel before heading to Boracay.

“We strongly advise guests to check if their chosen hotel or resort has been certified compliant and permitted to operate,” the Cebu Pacific advisory read.

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) also cautioned its passengers about the “no booking, no entry” policy in the island resort.

A verification booth at the Caticlan Airport and Kalibo International Airport will check whether visitors have a pre-booking with a compliant hotel.

Boracay was closed for tourists for six months since April 26 to make way for its rehabilitation. It is scheduled to reopen today.
