More than 300 CCTVs will be installed in areas in Iloilo City with high incidents of criminality and vandalism.

Mayor Jerry Treñas recently said the city government will install a total of 350 CCTV cameras in different areas in the metro to monitor crime incidents and boost the city’s surveillance capability.

The Philippine National Police and the Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) have already identified the areas, said Treñas. (

The mayor added that his plans to install additional cameras will be part of the city’s command center to be inaugurated soon.

The five-storey Iloilo City Action and Response Command Center is currently nearing its completion at Gaisano Iloilo City Center along Diversion Road in Mandurriao district.

It will house the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, PSTMO, additional police and fire stations.
