Senator Loren Legarda would beat former Antique governor Exequiel “Boy Ex” Javier in election if it were held today.

A poll conducted by University of the Philippines (UP) Manila showed that 71.7 percent of the respondents preferred Legarda over Javier (24.7 percent).

Almost 4 percent of likely voters have yet to decide who to vote for Congress in next year’s midterm elections, the survey from September 15 to 19 said.

Legarda’s preferential rate rose seven percentage points from 64.7 in August 2018. Javier’s on one hand declined by two percentage points.

“Comparing the two surveys, the increase in Legarda’s percentage of votes comes mainly from the undecided likely voters,” UP Manila said.
