1.8 million voters in NegOcc for 2019 polls
Some 1.8 million voters in Negros Occidental are expected to vote in this year’s mid-term elections.
Bacolod City has the most number of voters with 312,816, the Visayan Daily Star reported citing data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
It was followed by the 3rd district with 306,831 voters; 6th district, 295,254; 5th district, 277,004; 1st district, 249,468; 4th district, 241,0767; and 2nd district, 206,751.
The province is among the top five vote-rich provinces in the country, said the poll body.
Election period for the 2019 polls starts today, January 13 and ends on June 12.
