Yedda Romualdez bonds with Imelda, GMA on Women’s Day celeb
To her, these women are icons of empowerment.
Tacloban Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez dressed up in a puffy pina blouse and plaid saya as she joined the Women’s Day celebrations at the House of Representatives.
The lady politikos took over the plenary for an all-women session. While revelling in the ambiance of empowerment, Romualdez made sure to approach two of her female idols in Batasan.
She had photos taken with former First Lady Imelda Romualdez-Marcos and ex-President now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Much has been achieved in the struggle of women for equal rights and better quality of life. Yet so much remains to be done. Every mother, wife, and daughter deserve not only the protection of their inherent rights, but more importantly, to have every opportunity towards a meaningful and fulfilling life through education, employment, and community empowerment. Women of every age, marital status or social class must have the opportunity to actively participate in building the community they live in, to freely and creatively express their aspirations, and to realize the best version of themselves.#InternationalWomensMonth#WomenEmpowerment#WomensMonth#WomenLeaders#WomenLegislators
