Tommy Osmeña offers city hall job to Customs lawyer who called out ‘imbecile’ Alvarez
Her courage should be admired, not hated on.
Mayor Tomas “Tommy” Osmeña threw his full suport behind Mandy Therese Anderson, the chief-of-staff of Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon who is under fire for calling House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez an “imbecile” on her Facebook account.
The lawyer has since apologized to the politiko, but not before disclosing that Alvarez had once sought for a favor from the Bureau of Customs which got rejected.
For Osmeña, Anderson is a source of pride for all of Cebu City, her hometown. In fact, he even expressly gave her a job offer as a show of his admiration.
“Bar topnotcher, well-spoken, and not afraid to say what’s right, even if it’s against one of the most powerful people in the country. Leave it to a Cebuana to not be afraid to fight,” Osmeña said. “Atty. Anderson, if things do not work out for you in Customs, you will always have a place in City Hall.”
Looks like this lawyer isn’t easy to take down!
