Tommy Osmeña explains why malls take time before calling the police during emergency cases
Companies try to resolve things internally to avoid negative PR.
Mayor Tomas “Tommy” Osmeña batted anew to allow policemen with guns to enter and roam mall premises, especially after the Resorts World Attack in Pasay City that saw 38 lives lost.
This time, Osmeña got wind of a bomb scare at the Ayala Center Cebu, where moviegoers had to evacuate the theater due to bomb-like sounds under their seats, which turned out to be a construction activity.
The Cebu City politiko could not imagine the nightmare if the bomb scare were true. If so, it would have taken a long time before mall authorities reach out to the police, as they will try to fix the issue among themselves first.
