Super long weekend: Kring-Kring Romualdez makes June 29 a holiday in Tacloban

This politiko wants the city to go all-out in partying that weekend.

Mayor Cristina “Kring-Kring” Romualdez wants all of Tacloban City to party hard during this year’s Feast of Senior Sto. Niño, so she decided to declare Thursday, June 29 as a non-working holiday for all schools and government offices there.

Romualdez issued a local executive order last June 23, which makes it a four-day weekend for residents. An existing law already declares June 30 as a local holiday for the fiesta celebrations.

June 26 is also a nationwide non-working day for the end of Ramadan. This week, Taclobanons should party like there’s no tomorrow!
