Riding-in-tandem killings is Ilolilo’s new COP toplist
Killings involving so-called riding-in-tandem gunmen will be the top priority of new Iloilo City Police Office head Senior Superintendent Martin Defensor.
Defensor said this after three more killings involving motorcycle-riding suspects occurred a few days before he formally assumed his post.
“Solving killings involving motorcycle-riding men would be one of my priorities,” Defensor said (https://thedailyguardian.net/local-news/murderers-on-bikes-riding-in-tandem-killings-are-new-icpo-chiefs-priority/).
Defensor said Western Visayas police head Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao instructed him to solve the series murders in Iloilo City.
“We must level up our investigation. Definitely, we would be making this as a priority since it can affect the peace and order situation of the area,” he added.
Last Sept. 7, motorcycle-riding gunmen shot and killed Rolando Puda and Don Azucena, two Tokhang surrenderers.
On Sept. 11, a tricycle driver was gunned down at Zone 4, Barangay Ungka in Jaro district.
All three incidents occurred even with bystanders around, though the gunmen wore helmets to hide their faces.
