Ouch! Osmeña enjoys insulting Rama, Cavs fans on FB
Incumbent Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña just trolled former mayor Michael Rama and Cleveland Cavaliers fans everywhere with a witty series of Facebook posts on Tuesday, June 13.
On his first post, Osmeña acknowledged Rama’s constant reminders regarding the impending vote recount that the latter has demanded before the Commission on Elections (Comelec). As you may recall, Rama was unseated by Osmeña via 32,000-vote margin during the May 2016 polls.
“Mr. Rama and company keep trying to remind us that his recount starts today. He even held a prayer rally for his protest outside City Hall on Independence Day. I was asked for my reaction to this,” Mayor Tommy said before delivering the wicked insult.
“I said, ‘He should call LeBron [James]. Maybe the Cavs want a recount as well,'” he wrote.
The politiko was referring to the crushing defeat suffered by James and the rest of the Cavs Tuesday–1-4–in its best-of-seven NBA Finals series against the Kevin Durant-led Golden State Warriors.
And it didn’t end there. In a subsequent post, Osmeña couldn’t help but comment on a The Freeman post which asked if Rama’s prayers for a favorable recount would be answered.
“Will the Cavs win Game 6?” the mayor asked, knowing full well that the Warriors wrapped up the series in just five games. #
