Mike Rama mourns death of cousin Ricky Poca
He lived a good life.
Former Cebu City Mayor Michael “Mike” Rama wore a barong as he honored the life of his late cousin, Ricky Rama Poca. The teacher and Cebu Daily News columnist passed away on Dec. 26 due to cardiac arrest.
Rama showed his love for his dear pare by volunteering to lift his casket before Poca was laid to rest. The politiko wore a barong tagalog paired with shades at the church ceremony.
He went on to reminisce good times with his dear cousin.
Seeing people from all walks of life attend the service earlier, made me smile. Ricky was truly one of a kind, a man of distinction, who has touched the lives of so many,” Rama said.
“Pre, you did not die in vain. Your memories will reverberate generation to generations in the Rama-Limchiu family. You have always brought pride and distinction especially in your involvement in charitable organizations like rotary and of course, guiding the youth as an educator. We will never forget your sense of nationalism , and your fun antics as I would always call it – Ricky Pocs with his talks,” he added.
He is a well-loved man.
