Mayor Osmeña: Number of killings increased after Sinas, Garma came in
Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said the number of killings in the Queen City of the South increased after Cebu City Police Chief Royina Garma and Cebu Regional Police Chief Debold Sinas assumed their posts.
Garma was installed Cebu City police chief on July 1 while Sinas assumed his post last June.
“Yes, absolutely yes. I don’t know but it definitely started when they came in the picture,” Osmeña said.
He also said the current police leadership are part of the “problem.”
“In the past good. Now, not so good relationship. I look at them as part of the problem, not the solution. They themselves are the suspects,” Osmeña said.
