Mayor Osmeña: Cebu City is ‘not so safe’
Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said the Queen City of the South is “not so safe” following four separate shooting incidents on July 10.
The Cebu politiko said criminals are not afraid of authorities anymore.
“I saw the video (CCTV footage outside the Kalunasan barangay hall). Killers are not scared anymore. They just run up to you,” Osmeña said.
He said he supports newly-installed Cebu City Police Chief Royina Garma’s decision to deploy more cops on the streets.
“It’s a step in the right direction when she pulls out people in the headquarters and puts them in the field. That’s the force multiplier strategy. You put more people in the field and don’t let them sit in the precincts,” Osmeña said.
