Mayor Leonardia eyes sisterhood agreement between Bacolod and Angeles
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia said he wants to have a sisterhood agreement with Angeles City.
The Negros Oriental politiko made the proposal to Angeles City Mayor Ed Pamintuan during the National Executive Board meeting of the League of Cities of the Philippines in Clark, Pampanga.
“I told Mayor Ed Pamintuan that we should have a sisterhood agreement. We already have flights between Bacolod and Clark so it’s very convenient. He is also a personal friend. We were mayors together as early as 1995,” Leonardia said.
“It will create more traffic between the two destinations,” he added.
Negros Occidental and Pampanga signed a sisterhood agreement last December to strengthen economic and trade relations.
