Mayor Chiong taps Kenneth Cobonpue to beautify Naga
This politiko wants world-class sights in their city.
Mayor Kristina Chiong tapped renowned designer Kenneth Cobonpue for the grand task of jazzing up Naga City, Cebu.
The international furniture designer shared a sneak peek into the “Pasilong sa Naga” which he designed, right on time for the city’s charter day celebration.
“The design is made up of interlocking rings that represent circles of life, nature’s way of taking and giving back to the earth. The rings vary in scale and turn into winding paths, elevated walkways, fountains, benches and rest areas as they loop around the park,” the artist said.
“Thank you, Mayor Kristina Chiong, for your continued trust and support in my work. I hope more towns and cities in the Philippines invest in design for public spaces.”
