Martin Romualdez resurfaces from hiatus with news of Leyte quake
This ex-politiko is back on the streets.
Former Tacloban Congressman and losing senatorial bet Martin Romualdez has broken out of his life as a private citizen following the magnitude 6.5 earthquake that hit the city and parts of Leyte on Thursday, July 6.
Romualdez quickly went around the province to assess the post-quake situation, and was accompanied by buddies former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and former Davao Rep. Anthony Lagdameo.
With them were politiko couple Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and Mayor Richard Gomez of Ormoc City. What a power squad!
It won’t be easy, but we have to start somewhere. We have to start with #malasakit. Kaisa ko po sina former Sen. Bongbong Marcos, Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez, former Davao Rep. Anton Lagdameo, at si 4th Dist Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez sa pagtulong sa mga nasalanta at nabiktima ng nagdaang lindol. Of course we can’t do it without your unwavering support for our calamity-stricken kababayans. Mabuhay po kayong lahat.
