Loren Legarda’s transfer of voter registration to Antique opposed
The Election Registration Board is set to hear the opposition filed on Senator Loren Legarda’s application for transfer of voter’s registration on October 25.
Legarda, who is running for congresswoman of the lone district of Antique in the 2019 midterm elections, has applied for transfer of registration records from Malabon City, Metro Manila to Pandan, Antique.
According to Provincial Election Supervisor III Roberto Salazar, her application was opposed by former Antique vice governor Robin Rubinos.
In a Panay News report, Rubinos pointed out that Legarda, who filed her application on September 28, is not a resident of Barangay Mag-aba, Pandan, the village she identified in her application as her permanent home.
“There will be a simultaneous hearing of all applications for registration,” said Salazar.
“One of those to be heard will be that of Senator Legarda,” he added.
