Kahit sa huling saglit: Nova Princess Parojinog asks Bato to let her, brother attend parents’ wake
Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog and her brother, Reynaldo Jr., have asked Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa to allow them to see their parents one last time before they are buried.
In a handwritten note shown by the vice mayor’s lawyer, Ferdinand Topacio, the siblings expressed dismay at the decision of an Ozamiz court to deny their request for a furlough to attend the wake of their parents, Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog and his wife, Susan.
“Ito na po ang pinakmasakit na kabanata ng aming buhay magkapatid,” they said.
“Nananawagan po kaming magkapatid kay PDG Ronald Dela Rosa na tulungan kami na makapunta, makita sa huling pagkakataon ang aming papa at mama,” they added.
Nova Princess and her brother are detained at Camp Crame.
The elder Parojinogs were killed in a police raid at their house on June 30.
The mayor and vice mayor have been tagged as narcopolitikos by President Rodrigo Duterte.
