Iloilo City provides educational assistance to 70 street kids

Seventy street children across Iloilo City have been granted with financial aid to help them with their educational needs.

The indigent beneficiaries were selected from Molo, City Proper, Mandurriao, La Paz, Lapuz, Arevalo and Jaro districts.

The Iloilo City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) led the distribution of P2,000 educational assistance aid on Oct. 11.

“The beneficiaries were thankful for the big help for them to continue their education amidst poverty,” the Iloilo City said.

“The program aims to benefit elementary street children especially those who are less-fortunate and whose parents have no reliable source of income,” it added.
