Gov Chatto leads coastal cleanup in Panglao
Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto on March 6 led provincial government’s coastal cleanup drive in Panglao Island.
The Bohol politiko was joined by volunteers from various sectors in collecting assorted waste on Panglao’s shores.
Chatto said preserving Bohol’s natural resources is an act of love.
“We do not need laws, regulations, or even reminders if we truly love Bohol,” he said.
“Development is a balancing act as its consequences bring displacement. Our role is to preserve the present for the future generations,” Chatto added.
The coastal cleanup came after President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to close Boracay for being a “cesspool.”
