Chedz Alvarez leads productive House session
It’s their first day back and everyone’s on a roll.
Politikos trooped back to Batasan Complex on Tuesday, May 15 as they resumed plenary sessions after a month-long break.
Congresswoman Mercedes “Chedz” Alvarez of Negros Occidental has been drafted as presiding officer that afternoon, with the deputy speaker taking command of the highest podium on the floor as she guided fellow lawmakers in approving bills on third reading.
Alvarez shared that she sat there for three hours as the body approved 26 bills on third and final reading.
What a productive first day!
