Cebu province still PH’s richest province
Cebu remains as the richest province in the Philippines, the 2017 Annual Financial Report of the Commission on Audit (COA) reported.
The province obtained a total revenue of P34.14 billion last year, an increase by about P2 billion from its income in 2016.
Compostela Valley came in on second place, with a 2017 revenue of P18.95 billion.
Other provinces declared by COA as richest include Batangas (P15.6 billion); Rizal (P14 billion); Negros Occidental (P12.9 billion); Zambales (P10.5 billion); Bulacan (P10.5 billion); Palawan (P10.2 billion); Iloilo (P10 billion); and Pampanga (P9.53 billion)
